Digital scrap booking is done on the computer. To do digital scrap booking you do need to have a software program that will help you create your creative Christmas digital masterpieces. You can purchase software programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Digital Image Pro. However if you have not tried digital scrapbooking before you might want to choose to download a free photo editing program from the internet such as Scrapbook Max or Scrapbook Flair

The first thing to do is to select your photos that you want to display. You can use a photo taken with your digital camera or you can scan pictures to get them onto your computer.

Your photos will determine the color scheme of your Christmas layout. Next, you create a new image from a blank canvas in your software program. Decide the size of page that you want to use. This might be a 12″ by 12″ or 8.5 by 11″. Many layouts are now 8 X 8″.

When you have decided the size of your canvas and photo you want to use, the next step is to select your Christmas background. To choose a background you have many possibilities. You can download images from the Internet. On the Internet you will find many different holiday designs that are free or you can purchase them. You can find a selection of designs that are already co-ordinated for you.Then all you you really need to do is to personalize the design with your photos.

The next stage is to add the text and embellishments. Digital scrapbooking software has many ready made texts and embellishments to choose from. You can put these important touches onto the page very easily. Then add some finishing touches. Features that you might want to experiment with are drop shadows, embossing effects, brushes, textures and many others. Using these features helps your page to look very attractive and highlights whatever you want to be the focus of your page.

Once you are happy with the result, it is easy to change the photos and text to make personalized Christmas gifts for others also.

Printable scrapbook frames

Let’s do something extraordinary with our collection of photos, with the use of digital scrap booking using Photoshop. Today I want to discuss printable collection layouts and more specific; digital photo frames.
First, you will need to scan your photos and save them on your computer. This either requires access to a advantageous scanner plus software, or to find a company that can scan photos for you. Perhaps your local copy shop offers this utility?

When you already use a digital camera, then obviously all your photos already are digitally available on your computer. But all those photos from earlier years will have to be scanned onto your pc first.
A enthusiastic idea, is to always scan and save the original photo exactly as it is. By making copies of it, you can then use the same photograph in multiple projects! And, when you are fed up with looking at a photo in a critical frame, you just add a different one, and it feels and looks as if you have a new set of photographs!

When adding photos to digital frames it is material that they fit without any distortion What I mean by that is, that when you have a small photo, and you insert it in a frame that is too big, then the ultimate result will be distorted. You always want to coerce sure, that the photo fits the frame, or the frame fits the photo. Also watch out with resizing your original photo; the development when printing the finished photo, may be not optimal.

Some frames can be resized, rotated or whatever, but some frames are not suitable for any of this. For instance, let’s assume you have a frame that has a flower border on the bottom. This is a frame you cannot use upside down, because flowers normally don’t grow upside down! Although you might thirst to give it a try; you’ll never know what creation you come up with!! I got lots of ideas accidentally rotating, skewing or whatever and in doing so, came up with entirely new frames. On the other hand, when you have a neutral frame that has no particular decor, you can rotate it or resize it any way you want.

Now that you have a chosen a framework for a particular photograph, next step is to insert it in the frame. You need to make sure that you can click on the inside of your construct using the magic wand tool in Photoshop. Next, you click on your photo and select ctrl+A which selects the unmitigated photograph. Followed by Ctrl+C (copy) after which you then left click in the frame and choose “Paste into selection.” Hence, your photograph is now framed!
You don’t craving to use the “paste command” because it will literally paste your photo all over the frame instead of IN the frame, where we want it!

Then you reserve the framed photo to your pc as JPEG-file. You now have created a new digital file of one of your photos. You can then insert this file for exempli gratia in a Word-document and create a card. You can send it to friends as attachment to an email (Just let them know beforehand that you will be sending them a photo or they may chuck your email away because it contains an attachment!)

Another option is to upload your framed picture to your own photo-gallery on your website, or resize the photo to sketchy size and paste on a stickersheet. I am sure you can come up with some ideas of your own. And if you’d like to share them with me, you can always contact me!

This wedding scrapbook kit was created in silver, since it’s a neutral color. I’ve also provided three other subtle colours that coordinate well with silver. Not only will these give your scrapbook a classy look, but your photos, 3D embellishments and other memorabilia will look like they’re popping right off the page because the backgrounds won’t fight for attention.

I’ll provide quite a few floral pages, some which have wedding illustrations on them such as a wedding dress and shoes, champagne, dual hearts and a bridal bouquet next to a pair of wedding rings. I also created a matching plain striped paper that can be used either by itself or on a page combined with the floral pattern. If you follow the classic design rule that your horizon line (the place where two papers meet) should be either one-third or two-thirds of the distance from the bottom of the page, you’ll create a beautiful layout. There are two photo frames and several border embellishments that can be layered over the place where two papers meet, creating a seamless look. There is also one last paper that combines the stripe and floral patterns. If you like a truly Victorian look, you’ll probably like that design.
